   Davanti Enoteca is a solid neighborhood gem. The menu offers a wide selection and everything is done well. Perhaps one of our favorite restaurants in the area

   While the food is usually very good here, I was very unhappy w/where they seated our table of five. I had called four days ahead to request the "brick cave" area. I was told that would be fine, but there would be other people also in that area. (which is expected). When we arrived we were seated in the middle, with customers & servers knocking into our seats the whole time. I asked why they didn't honor my request, he said he had no written notice of what I'd asked for! I had asked for a manager, so there was a breakdown in communication obviously. My bad for not requesting the name of who I spoke to. He could have comped one of the appetizers, but he didn't seem to care. I will take my business elsewhere from now on.

   Disappointed in this usually great spot. Table of 8 adults, booked several days in advance at 6:30 on a Saturday. We waited 15 min to place our drink order - waiter came at 10 min to say hi, be right back, then visited several others tables multiple times before coming to ours. Service from there was poor. Ordered 2 bottles of wine before we finished those drinks so we did not have to wait again, and yet we did! After finally getting our wine, we were never asked if we needed any more drinks - we would have had 1-2 more rounds had the server been attentive. Apps were good, but the special lasagna entree was served cold - had to send it back to be re-done, and came after all the food was already gone. Were asked to lean forward in chairs several times as waiters accessed the wine behind our heads - don't seat adults in front of your wine storage. May not go back, was that disappointing.

   Everything thing was great, expect that it was hot! It was a warm 77 degree in April. We were seated in the private room that used to have the high top table.

   Always enjoy our time at Devanti. Great location, food, ambiance and service. We got there before 6:00 and were able to take advantage of their happy hour specials. Highly recommend!
