Staying In Winter Park with Deno’s in walking distance. Perfect not having to get in and out of car in negative temperatures. Sean, the waiter, made sure my dining experience was without waiting. I had the bison short rib which was full of flavor. I would come back, again!

Our experience didn’t start off to well as our server must have been brand new. She didn’t introduce herself, tell us about the special that was printed on a card on the table, and overall didn’t seem too interested in serving us. I had the ribeye which was $58, the steak was far too expensive for the quality. I probably could have gotten a better steak at Outback for half the price. I would not go back.

We had a terrific dinner at Deno’s. It was pretty noisy but a fun atmosphere.

I'm going to address the biggest problem I have with this restaurant then I'll get to the food. There is a 3% "Kitchen Fair Wage Supplement" added to all checks that I was unaware of. This includes alcoholic drinks as well. I obviously didn't have my menu when the check came but I'm sure it's in the fine print somewhere. To the management: When people come to eat they typically look at menu items and prices. I AM NOT YOUR ACCOUNTANT! You've been in business long enough to just raise prices and pay your own employees that aren't serving. Do you think I would not have gotten the filet if it were $61.80 instead of $60.00? What's next? Maybe a 5% property tax supplement? Emily our server was excellent!!! Very attentive and kind. The drinks were good. The two filets were cooked a perfect medium rare which is how I know it wasn't the greatest cut of meat. Nothing you couldn't get a Texas Roadhouse. Certainly not indicative of a $60 price even for a ski town. My son's bison short rib was one of the best I've ever tasted. The sides were potatoes and chef's vegetables which were Brussel sprouts and squash. The sprouts were hard as rocks and the squash had some kind of cinnamon glaze that wasn't appetizing. Mashed potatoes were good. Ceasar salad was good as well.

We had diner at Denos last night. Our waiter was excellent! We ordered the pork shank & the elk bolognese. The pork shank was very flavorful, but fatty at the bottom. The bolognese was lukewarm. I recommend not ordering anything fancy at this restaurant; stick to pizza & other bar food. We were disappointed with our meals & will not return to Denos in the future.

We'd not made it to this Winter Park institution since Covid. Fantastic food, service & experience overall. Loved that it was super casual and cozy but the food wowed us! Service was excellent as well.
