Evelyn’s is an easy-going local restaurant serving brunch classics by day and refined, small plates by night. With the kitchen centred around a charcoal Inka grill, live fire cooking adds personality to the dishes, taking inspiration from Levantine and Pan-asian favourites. A go-to for the local neighbourhood and travellers alike, the food is seasonal and humble while the intimate setting ensures that the focus is on the food and experience. Evelyn’s accepts bookings for Dinner (from 17:00) and all day Sunday (full roast menu), with Brunch operating on a walk-in basis.

Below Evelyn’s, The Daisy is a Parisian Pigalle-inspired bar with local resident DJs playing every weekend. Enjoy 20% off your bill pre- or post-dinner when you show your reservation. Expect late-night escapism with a plush, loft party energy and a refined drinks menu. The Daisy welcomes walk-ins, but booking is highly recommended.

As a group of 5 people for dinner, we ordered 2-3 dishes each. Some of them were lovely (Sumac Chicken) but some were very average (Cheeseburger). I understand the whole ‘the food will come out when it’s ready’ thing, but 4 of the 5 had received and eaten all of their dishes before a very poor cheeseburger and fries came out - and to make it worse it wasn’t even hot. Then after that a Caesar salad (which surely must be the quickest/easiest thing to make!) and the place was, at best a 1/3rd full. I didn’t want to make a fuss as it was my daughter’s choice for her birthday. Very disappointed in the food, so won’t be going back, as for £230 for the meal/drinks it’s fair to say, it’s reasonable to expect an excellent meal.

Great food and service but we were seated in a part of the restaurant where the tables for 2 were placed too close and felt like were were sharing our experience and conversation with 4 other people with very unacceptable space between tables We did ask to move to the other side of the restaurant but unfortunately all were booked up We have been a number of times before and have always sat in the area where the tables are well set out so wouldn’t return unless we could be guaranteed the better table location. However-great food, service and value for money as always

Went for a Sunday roast, and we were recommended to pre-book the meals to make sure there was some left for us for 8 pm. From the first bite, the food was very cold. We informed the staff, and tried with very hot gravy but it wasn’t good enough. Unfortunately very bad experience and we won’t be coming back..

Lovely atmosphere as always. Definitely a vibe of a good neighbourhood restaurant in the city. Food lovely and flavours spot on.
