Always a great experience dining here. Food is always fresh & delicious! Good service! Just discovered they didn’t put the chicken in with the leftovers of chicken fried rice. It was all on the same plate, so what could have happened?

Barrio Queen is a real value with a great happy hour menu! My favorite is the guacamole made at your table with pomegranate! Delicious! The two tacos for $5 is a real bargain and my special treat is the Elotes corn side dish!

A place that knows it value, the Mercado at Tia Carmen is a more than solid choice for breakfast. Its buffet style breakfast, has a not to large not to small selection of hot and cold offerings. Nothing is subpar, and many selections (like the beef, rice and yogurt) are exceptional. Only bake goods are uneven in taste. Coffee is top notch. Jams, meats, fruit and great. Omelette station available too. Service is attentive and not bothersome. Expensive but worth it.
