Set in the impressive former 1930s Hitchin ballroom, on the first floor, Hermitage Rd restaurant & Bar boasts a seasonal, award winning and sustainable premium food offer, from the awarding winning ACI team and a bar renowned for it's bespoke cocktails, quality wine and beer range. There were 4 in our party. We had 3 different starters, Mackerel, croquettes and white pudding scotch egg. All were excellent. We only had 2 different main courses, the venison pie and the stone bass with additional skinny fries. Again, both mains were excellent. One dessert of pumpkin cake - again excellent. We couldn't fault the quality of these meals.

What a cracking location and what delicious food. We had a business lunch here and it's the perfect setting in Hitchin for this if you are looking for somewhere that adds a touch of class to the agenda. Excellent Service and a relaxed atmosphere.
