Beste brunchrestaurants in West Des Moines

Went for our anniversary and couldn't have been happier . Service was great . The waitress even helped my wife pick out a drink . Food was amazing and large portions .

Great food! Everything was extremely good, the lighting, service, drinks all the way down to the last sip. First time coming and will definitely be back again. Only thing I wish that would change was their sides. You can only order sides for the table, not your own. Makes it a bit more pricey, but atleast it was good. I had their Jumbo Shrimp Diablo pasta for the main course, it was divine. But small portion! Hence me stating I wish the sides had an individual option. We ordered their mushrooms for the side and they were so buttery, full of garlic and each one bursted with so much flavor. There was a ton of them! Overall, recommend this place! 10/10. We also ordered their elote dip, which came with homemade tortilla chips. It was cheesy, and delish. Their croquettes were our other tapas (appetizer) & those were so good!! Just some food recommendations!!

Bar Nico is by far and away my favorite restaurant in the Des Moines area. Chef Matt does such a great job changing up his menu seasonally. He does such a great job of blending texture, flavor, spice, all into one amazing dish and the drink selection is incredible and innovative just like the dishes. His staff is also absolutely amazing and very hospitable and professional. Bar Nico does all of this while being 100% gluten free! If you have celiac disease or a reaction to gluten this place is the place for you! I know from experience a lot of times gluten-free dishes don’t taste as good or close to what you may have had before my celiac diagnosis. However, as I mentioned before this restaurant does not cut any corners, and the food is as authentic as it can be! Again, recommend 10 out of 10 times! We have gone several times and are planning to go even more! Hats off to chef Matt and his staff!

We had a great dinner on Valentines Day! It was the perfect mix of quiet, cozy, moody, relaxed with just a hint of fine dining and exactly what we were looking for. My husband had an old fashioned which he said was really good. I had the 5 option charcuterie spread and he had the hot honey wood fire pizza. Both were *chefs kiss*. We will definitely be back!

This is our 2nd experience at Fresko. We chose it for Valentines Day because we could walk from our event hotel (Marriott). Upon being seated we were gifted a gorgeous valentine rose. We loved our meal choices and look forward to coming back to try more more menu items.
