In 1987, New Sahara Restaurant moved its location to Oak Park and opened other locations in Sterling Heights, Farmington Hills and Shelby Twp.     Great food! The gumbo was amazing. And everyone loved their meals. The servings were huge. We were thankful they could accommodate our reservation of 6 after the game. It's just a short walk from the stadium and the rest of the downtown festivities.

    Our first time here and we will definitely be back! Shared the Caeser salad and bbq chick pizza and both were delicious and plentiful!! Made a reservation before an 8pm show at the Fillmore but didn’t end up needing it. This will be our new go to place before a show.

    Management there Alicia was Amazon along with our server Kayla. Being in the service industry myself it was amazing to see how fast and efficient the team was . Additionally it was energetic upbeat and lively. I will be back!
