Here at the Ship in Distress, we are the perfect retreat to sit back, relax and indulge in our delicious food with the perfect drink in hand. We love our coastal location and our bar pays tribute to this with a fittingly traditional nautical theme! Dogs are welcome and we've got a large car park for visitors and plenty of seating space. Lovely place, definitely be back soon. Food was delicious and a good choice of proper food and nice kids menu too. Lovely outside space so will be back in the summer if not before

Very good service and comfortable seats. Drinks were reasonably priced fantastic view from the balcony over looking Bournemouth . All round a excellent place and night out

This was the second year having Christmas lunch at The Ship in Distress. The food was excellent, tasty , nicely presented and hot. Service by staff was very friendly and no shortage of smiles. Excellent Christmas Day lunch and will be booking for 2025.
