Salt's name comes its Salthill locale - which itself was derived from salt works that were once here - plus the nearby sea and, of course, the seasoning. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the beautiful Sally Gap bar/brasserie. The food was really excellent along with the service. Our waiter was Emily. She was so, so lovely. Thank you. We are looking forward to returning very soon.

Food really good. Nice atmosphere in the place, although not busy the evening we were there. Staff friendly and good. Worth a visit.

Our meal was very tasty and well prepared. The steak tartare was outstanding but the portion quite small for the 18 Euros. My hot goat cheese salad was very good, however the goat cheese was not hot, in fact it was cold. The wine selection was wonderful and appropriately priced. The truffle fries were outstanding and the burrata salad was excellent.
