It was the first public oven in New York State. Haviland’s Old Grist Mill and the public bakery were community gathering places for two centuries. Inspired by Joseph Haviland’s noble efforts, the Haviland Kitchen & Bar has been established for our neighbors. The ambiance and service were top notch, and it’s nice to have an urban vibe here in my neighborhood. My only complaint is that the tables are a bit close together which made it very loud. This was prime time at 7pm on a Saturday night, so perhaps I’ll try it during the week. The scallops and Branzino (fish) were both delicious, and they make a good cocktail. I’ll definitely be going back.

Felicia was present and pleasant always with a smile. Maddie was our waitress. She was lovely service with spectacular that was a band who sounded just like James Taylor. It was just a lovely evening. Food was superb. Bar was very crowded when we arrived at 6:15 x 830 I had cleared out a little bit

The service at Beginnings is ALWAYS EXCEPTIONAL. The food was outstanding just wish certain things were a little hotter. In this economy, the value of what you get is IMPRESSIVE! Will certainly be back
