Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals. The food was great. The service was great. But you've got to do something about the bathrooms. This is the third time I've eaten there with a friend, the third time my friend had to use the bathroom (long drive home), and the third time it's been worse than disgusting. This time she found clogged toilets, one toilet smeared with menstrual blood, and flushing mechanisms that don't work. I have to wonder if the kitchen is as filthy as the bathroom. It's hard to reconcile this situation with the "healthy" reputation of TFK. Not sure what else to say as this is the third time I've commented on this. I've gotten 2 previous messages promising to address. And you are clearly unwilling to do anything to rectify the situation.

Osteria is a gem of a restaurant. It has an excellent menu, a wonderful old world ambiance and professional staff. We really appreciated the soft background holiday music that made our table conversation effortless. The salads, pastas and the hazelnut flan were all so enjoyable. Che buono!
