The Pub The Cricketers is a country pub and dining rooms with a large beer garden and outdoor patio dining in the summer. The founder is a mother of three who was looking for places locally to have a nice coffee and some lovely brunch whilst my older children were at school and I had the little one with me.Locally there wasn’t anything except for the coffee shop chains who didn’t offer proper meals during those core school hours where you want to be able to have enough time to enjoy your meal but also get out by 2pm on time for the school run. There are plenty of places for lunch that open from 12 but women like the founder who maybe would like to meet a friend for a coffee and brunch there wasn’t anything.This is why I decided to start Nashtaa. Where we can all go have a lovely cup of tea or coffee, a nice brunch with a fusion twist and a homemade slice of cake to top it off! All in a beautiful Instagram worthy setting.

Pleasant surroundings and ambience. Big group of sweary rugby types just inside the door slightly off putting but further in its a pleasant family pub. Decent selection and the roast beef was spot on and we didn’t have to wait too long. Less than £90 for family of four including tip, very good value these days.

From the moment the door opened we felt very welcome and well looked after. Service was attentive but not overbearing. Pizza was delicious and the Mango sorbet was a highlight for the younger members in our group. We will be back next time we are in Maidenhead.

Four of us in for lunch and every dish was excellent. Venison sausages, cheese and bacon burger and a Thai chicken green curry. Two of us had the brioche bread & butter pudding. With drinks and coffees plus tip it was £37.50 per head which was good value. Service was very good, friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere was just right for a Saturday afternoon, relaxed and the sound of people chatting and enjoying themselves.
