Butera's Restaurant of Sayville is a full service, fine dining "Family-Style" Italian restaurant serving seafood, steaks, veal, chicken and pastas dishes. Casual waterfront dining right on the docks of the Patchogue River, The Oar serves up fresh and delicious steaks and seafood. Chefs prepare specialties like coconut shrimp, 36 oz sizzling prime porterhouse, lobster quesadillas and fresh Bluepoint oysters and little clams which are delivered daily. Great food and excellent service. Manager Paul is great. Shrimp Butera dish is fantastic as is the Chicken Scarpiello. Almond Amaretto dessert is great too. We drive 35 minutes to come here regularly.

The waitress we had was outstanding!! I wish I could remember her name. She had platinum blonde hair. She was awesome! There was an issue with my bill and she took care of it. I’m so grateful for her and the rest of the staff For checking in on me and my sister to see how we were doing. And wishing us a happy Thanksgiving. Also, the valet group was awesome as well.

Food is always spot on! Lobster Bisque was perfect, rich and creamy with plenty of lobster pieces. Our burgers were cooked a nice medium rare as requested. Nice beer on tap selection. Worth a visit!

Throughly enjoyed our dinner with dear friends. We appreciate the owner and her daughter/chef came over to chat with us after dinner. It is my second time dining at Sunflower and will be back and will well recommend! Fish done to perfection, Everything we had was outstanding..mussels with an amazing curry sauce, filet mignon, cod over lemon risotto, filet of sole, soups, oysters, pate..and a perfect wine selection. Bravo!
