Good lunch choice menu with prompt attention and friendly vibe. Great choice location to meet friends over the Christmas for a quick bite and a catch up.

We regularly eat in Avenue and always have a great experience. Food, staff, ambience and service are always excellent.

A great place to meet friends for afternoon lunch/brunch. The quality of food was excellent and atmosphere was very relaxed and inviting. Great value with a great selection of wines. Thanks to everyone in Ely, we will be back.

Everything was great except the portion size. I’m not a big eater & usually find that starter, main course & desert are just too much so usually 2 courses is enough. Ordered the lamb. It was described as coming with creamed potatoes and vegetables. Whilst it was presented well and tasted lovely, it was way too small. It looked like a mini island of food lost in the middle of a dinner plate. Even some additional vegetables to help part fill the plate would have been appreciated. Once it landed it was too late to order any Additional side dishes which would have taken longer to prepare than the few minutes required to eat what was presented. Cost was €24. I followed it with coffee & desert. I went out for dinner but actually had to make a sandwich when I got home. As I say, I’m not a big eater although I’m a regular restaurant goer & I’ve never complained about online before and I’ve never gone home & had to make something to eat after having been out for dinner. I hope this feedback is taken constructively as it is intended.

We enjoyed a lovely evening with friends, celebrating our first wedding anniversary. The service was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the banter with the restaurant team. The food was superb, a real treat and a bonus to say hi to the Chef as he moved between the tables to meet the diners. We certainly didn't need the salt or pepper we'd requested during the first course. We plan to do it all again next year. Thank you!!
