Great service , much improved since last visit. Good food, music just a little to loud.

This historic pub set in the rolling hills between Ashford and Hythe is a delight. While the menu is very similar pubs in the same Pickled Egg Group the ambience and quality of staff puts it head and shoulders above the rest. While the menu is unadventurous it does deliver good food at reasonable value. Deserves its reputation as one of the best pubs in Kent

Getting table here can sometimes be difficult, however I struck gold when I found one with 24 hours notice. The food was delicious and the staff super friendly and polite. We went out for a meal for my husbands birthday and on arrival he was wished happy birthday, there was a little happy birthday note on the table and again when we left they wished him happy birthday, little but nice touches. The sharing platter for starter was a great portion for 3 of us and the main courses of Duck, pork belly and steak were cooked to perfection. Certainly will be coming back.

An amazing evening celebrating my Daughters 18th Birthday. Amazing service from the team from start to finish. Food was amazing quality as always, and the service was second to known.

Amazing first experience. Pleasantly surprised. Nice small intimate restaurant with a good buzz about it. Fast service, exceptionally good food. Lomo and Ancho steaks were cooked perfectly. Better than Gaucho in my opinion from the cut, seasoning and price. Highly recommend and will certainly return.
