Rengaya has been serving YAKINIKU in North Sydney since 1993, making it one of Australia’s pioneering Japanese barbeque restaurants. Now, that tradition is set to continue at its new digs on Miller Street – just a short stroll from the original location – in a much more modern, striking setting. The new fit-out features bar-counter seats around an open kitchen, red booth seating divided by Japanese-style timber panelling and a hard-to-miss chandelier. There’s also a 20-seat private dining room. We use only the finest ingredients such as Japanese Black Cattle made in Australia for beef, Sashimi and Seafood fresh from the sea.     Great service on a busy Valentines Day, the staff were attentive at the right times. We enjoyed ceviche, steak, roast peppers and more with a bottle of Semillon, and finished with desserts. Everything was shareable and we didn’t feel rushed out of an early dining time (6:30).

    The perfect place to celebrate Valentine's Day. The chef put together an amazing array of Aussie delicacies that made this visit quite an experience. The staff treated us like royalty. And the views just can't be beat anywhere in the world!

    Thank you for an amazing lunch, the service was exceptional and the food to die for. Especially the Prawns and the Toothfish (which is the first time I have ever eaten out and had it cooked perfectly). The Cauliflower Karaage was so beautiful and fresh it blew my socks off. Thank you again to all the team for a memorable dining experience.

    The entire experience at Bathers is absolutely amazing. My partner and I came in peak Valentines Day lunchtime foot traffic and everything was just amazing. As a chef and currently a musician I understand how busy this time of year can be but these guys managed to make you feel special on this insanely busy day! Great work from top to bottom!
