Our name is an homage to the long-established rock salt industry of Cheshire.It’s believed the Romans started to extract rock salt using salt pans and brinekilns in Northwich in the 1st century AD. As essential kitchen ingredient, theindustry remains important to the area today, with the largest rock salt minein the UK in nearby Winsford.

A new, growing-led “British Tapas” restaurant from the teams behind Chef's Table and Growing @Field 28. The menu features an inventive and daily-changing selection of vegetarian, vegan, meat, fish and game plates, each dish is crafted from Field 28's daily harvest of pesticide and biocide-free heritage produce and specialist leaf, served alongside a selection of hand-crafted cordials, cocktails and wines. Head chef Dan Regan, a passionate chef, heads up the young, vibrant team in the kitchen. Combining amazing, wild, sustainable ingredients from land and sea into sumptuous creations that form really memorable eating experiences. We focus on British ingredients, as local to Chester. Our venison, always a hugely popular part of our menus, is harvested from herds on estates that focus on improving biodiversity and deer health – a process we call Farming the Wild.
As the name suggests, Moules a go-go is famous for its mussels, fresh from the shores of Anglesey, served in a variety of ways from simple Moules Marinieres to Korean. The vast selection of seafood dishes ranging from traditional fish and chips to scrumptious Sea Bass is impressive, though equally appealing are the locally sourced juicy steaks . After 17 successful years in business amongst tough competition, Moules a go-go is still going strong, boasting superb food and a great atmosphere in contemporary yet comfortable surroundings. The head chef and manager have been there since the restaurant’s inception; such longevity is a rare blessing in the tempestuous world of the steaming kitchen, but this dedication shows in the consistency and quality of the food and service.
