We are very proud of our historic location, hence naming the restaurant after the year the world-famous Brooklands racetrack was built and opened. Met up with some former work colleagues on a Wednesday night for dinner. Pub was relatively quiet, service was excellent. Food was really good. Definitely recommend, especially in summer when you can sit outside by the river.

We had a lovely dinner and at the end we both independently observed what an absolutely fabulous waitress we had, both saying what a positive difference having brilliant staff makes to the evening. Food was delicious too. Also, we had a dog with us and she was welcomed equally warmly with a bowl of water and array of delicious treats delivered immediately on arrival. 100% recommend.

Looks as if the restaurant was recently renovated. Food was delicious. Just the right portion size, and presented beautifully. Set menu was good value. Staff very attentive and friendly, although it was a quiet night. We went for our anniversary, and would thoroughly recommend.
