Chef Luciano Canova was born in 1949, on a small farm just outside of Rome, Italy. Chef Luciano grew up with his parents & grandparents where good food, using the freshest of ingredients, was always a staple. His passion for food was instilled in him as a small child in his home and led him to attend the prestigious Culinary Institute of Italy. After graduating, Luciano worked all around the world perfecting his craft in places like Switzerland, Germany, and on a luxury cruise line.  The Torre Restaurant Group family of restaurants has grown to serve customers throughout Southern New England with authentic Italian food. We have eight locations, all offering different ways to explore the many tastes of Italy! Our newest location here in Mansfield, is the first location that merges all our dining concepts into one. I gave 4 star overall because I think I was overcharged but didn’t realize til I got home. I had a birthday coupon and my friend and I got food from the lunch menu. However it seemed the original bill was a lot higher to begin with. I asked if my order came with potato and vegetable and the waitress said yes. But maybe they either charged me for a dinner plate or added in the sides separate. I wished I looked closer at the bill but my fault I didn’t. I will however in the future. Other than that food was good.

We love coming to TR and have been frequenting Mr. Canova’s restaurants for decades. We like the food, but live the hospitality the most. Perfect service around cocktails including the perfect martini and very strong wines by the glass including the Montepulciano. The food is classic Italian American, but we tend to eat the salmon, the sole and specials. Our waiter Damien was exceptional.
