We enjoyed the whole experience of the meal, it is such a warm and friendly place with so much history and character. The food was amazing, went on Steak night (Thursday) and the choices of different cuts of meat, sauces and sides were great. All four of us enjoyed our meals and had with different combos of sides, starters and main meals which was great. The service was fantastic again and has been on all three occasions we have previously visited. Definitely recommend to anyone.

A beautiful warm and inviting country pub, complimented by exceptional service and incredible food. We walked from Henley through Harpsden Woods into Shiplake and enjoyed a fantastic lunch. Couldn’t fault anything. We have dined all over the area and it is so rare to find a place that delivers on all fronts. Cost, ambience, service and food second to none. Can not recommend enough and can’t wait for our next visit!

The team were very helpful , especially managing our specific dietary requirements. The food was excellent and all the members of the party commented how much they enjoyed their meals.

Great place to eat, atmosphere was lovely and the service and interaction from the team was superb, will visit again when in the area next.
