Beste restaurants voor een zondagse lunch in Alameda

Walking into Burrell was like a time warp back into the 70s. It felt like we walked into someone’s grandma’s house, from the picture on the wall, the furniture, the vintage corelle plates used to serve food—it was warm and inviting. The food was so delicious. Every dish we had had so much flavor and it was comforting, as if someone’s grandma or mom cooked for us. We did the family meal and it was worth the $75 it cost for the 4 course meal. I will be thinking about this meal until I can return!

As always, my partner and I had a fantastic date night at Creekwood. Our first date restaurant has become our every date restaurant. It’s warm and cozy. Waiters are attentive and helpful. And the food. The food! Never had anything here that wasn’t fantastic. Our bill came in at under $100 for both of us, including two of the pricier glasses of wine (consumed by me; excellent Bordeaux blend). Love this place!

The food was delicious and eating outside across from Lake Merritt is a pleasure! The avocado toast (with a generous serving of green salad) was beautifully prepared, as was the pastrami benedict that my partner ate (unlike many we've had, it was not drowned in hollandaise sauce but simply topped with it). My only reservation was about the eggs on the avo toast. I asked the server to make sure the yolks were "not runny." She wrote down and repeated the instruction. But when they arrived, they were totally runny. She offered to get me a scrambled egg instead - which arrived perfectly prepared. But then I was charged for it. I think if the kitchen makes an error they need to make good on it, without additional charge. Other than that, it was a wonderful meal.

Booked a reservation expecting to do their New Years brunch buffet, but they were experiencing technical difficulties. Instead we ate off the regular menu and everything we ordered, from the fried branzino to the short rib cup noodles to the kids menu chicken and rice was delicious. The drinks were presented beautifully and tasted delicious. Loved the decor and loved the music. Highly recommend!

Food was delicious We had pizza ,lovely salads and friendly service. Ambiance is cafe like so very casual. I had the clams and soaked up the delicious sauce with bread. 😋
