Shellfish when in season includes cockles, mussels and oysters from the beds at the bottom of the garden. The Crown & Mitre is a Grade II listed building built as private houses in the 1600's and converted into a pub in 1743.Since that date the premises have retained not just the name but also the licence. It’s now an independent freehold pub business.
