Avelo Restaurant is located in a heritage townhouse on a quiet street in Yorkville and serves some of the city's finest plant-based cuisine. Fabulous dinner at La Bartola for my vegan son’s 25th birthday. Excellent professional service by Santana. We had the tastings menu 7 courses - fun way to experience the food. They kindly put a candle in my son’s dessert and brought him a free celebratory glass of sparkling wine without being asked. They also rescheduled our dinner with no problem to a different day with less than 24 hours notice when my son’s flight home was cancelled. All staff and ambience are very charming.

Servers were all lovely, every course was unique and delicious, and they had multiple non-alcoholic options which is always a fun treat. Definitely worth an experience if you’re vegan in Toronto. And they made sure my soy-allergy didn’t interfere at all with having the complete experience.
