Yana Coogee, situated a stone’s throw away from the beach on the main promenade of Coogee, is inspired by Chef Same Lane's passion for the simplicity of cooking with an open fire and the feeling of being surrounded by great food, drink and company.     We thoroughly enjoyed this restaurant from the speakeasy type entrance to the superb cocktails, excellent food and friendly service. The atmosphere is warm and mysterious. We enjoyed sharing the calamari as an appetizer followed by the pasta with pork/veal ragu sauce that is beyond description. As a main course we thankfully shared a delicious veal Milanese in bolognese which could have fed three. Best restaurant in Sydney by far.

    I highly recommend this fabulous gem in Coogee. Fabulous cocktails, great menu featuring cooking on open fire which adds another level to results. The staff were very attentive. A stand out was the home made burnt Basque cheesecake which literally melted in your mouth. Very reasonably priced as well. Overall a fabulous vibe.
