The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. The restaurant serves innovative, traditional and contemporary interpretations of American cuisine with some added international accents, prepared under the direction of Executive Chef John Benjamin. We joined the restaurant in a special tasting menu and it was very very good. The location and interior is impressive, eye pleasing and elaborate. It is definitely a great place for a date or business dinner. The menu is interesting and different. We recommend to take a look at the menu before going. The bar is large and welcoming for drinks. They have very nice cocktails as well.

Made a reservation through Open Table, and we were seated promptly. The service was courteous and prompt, and all the food was delicious. This is definitely going to be one of our prime date night locations.
