Life is too short to eat ordinary pizza! We like to drink great wine, sometimes lots of it. Most importantly, we like to share these passions with our friends. Our menu is Italian inspired and stacked with delicious food. Try a few of our smaller items or feast on a selection of pizzas and larger plates. It’s up to you. We believe food is meant to be shared and encourage family style dining as we send dishes out once they are prepared. Conversation comes naturally when people enjoy food together.
Our award winning head chef Francis Martinez executes a menu that honours local producers to deliver contemporary dishes with a soft french influence. From our celebrated sablefish to the finest local beef, from small delicious snacks to robust courses, we aim to create a special experience for every guest. The attention to detail we seek starts with our local farmers and producers and transcends to our preparation and cooking styles. From sourcing natural and organic ingredients to selecting special kindling for our wood burning Josper oven, we have a love for food and hospitality that is best when shared with our friends and guests.
Pizza Culture Napoletana brings you authentic, true-to-Italy Napoletana pizza and amore. As a registered member of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) you can put your trust in our crust. Our founder and head pizza maker Jeremy Hube is hands-on in the restaurant and can be seen working our wood-fired oven (alongside the ever-reliable and talented Simon and Roman). We curate a wine list that is regionally appropriate and the good word on the street is that we make a mean sourdough (a side hustle we perfected in the Pandemic). A friendly, casual and often bustling neighbourhood pizzeria with a dine-in dining room, side-street patio and options for takeout and delivery. If you've never dined with us before, we look forward to seeing you soon!
Executive Chef Domenic Tudda spent his childhood years learning of Italian cuisine while his family owned and operated Stromboli's restaurant in Calgary. He furthered his education by undergoing extensive culinary training in Italy and has been able to continue his parent's legacy of bringing unique and incredibly authentic Italian dining to Calgarians. One of the most revered of these ventures is Ristorante Pulcinella, where Domenic first earned distinction when his international training crossed borders and entered Calgary in the spring of 2006. One of the few APN (Associazione Pizzaioli Napolitani) certified pizzerias in the world, Domenic has been able to showcase his culinary skills, incredible wine knowledge, and passion for Italian cuisine to provide Calgary with a truly artistic, original and delicious experience not soon to be forgotten. Certainly not your classical North American pizza, it's definitely different, but definitely delicious.
