The food was fine, but the dining area was very cold and both fireplaces were not used. Additionally, the ceiling fans were on. The bathroom had zero heat. In fact It looked to me like the window a/c unit was on high. Unfortunately, it was not a very comfortable evening and the food was just ok to me. Disappointing.

On a 30°F night, the salad was served ice cold. Not cool - but quite cold. The main dishes, the service were good but with the reputation that Floriana enjoys, a room temp salad should be standard.

The food at Floriana was as good as I have had in DC. The entrance to the restaurant is desceiving as it is a top range lace to eat in DC. I’d you have a a chance to eat here, please do so.

My server was amazing. The space was a little tight for NYE, but I was dining alone so I loved my little cozy window corner. The pre fix menu was good and offered some vegetarian friendly options. I, however, am vegan. I tried to call ahead to get more information about substitutions, but nonetheless not many could be made. My server, though, was very understanding and tried to accommodate as much as possible. That's the only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars, because I felt I didn't get the full experience. I wasn't able to enjoy my full entree, which was swordfish, because I had to take the fish off of the risotto which had plenty cheese. I also couldn't eat the dessert because both options were dairy options. But, if you don't have any diet restrictions then this place was truly a pleasant quaint spot. The service was well managed, even during a busy holiday night. I would recommend it to friends, for sure.

It was a little tough to find. The food was absolutely incredble. Will definitely be returning when we get back to DC!

Attentive staff, delicious food (don’t miss the Sunday Gravy and short rib agnolotti), and half-priced wine bottles on Sundays and Wednesdays—such a great surprise!
