Smakeloos kantine voer! Lang geleden dat we zo slecht gegeten hebben. Terwijl we ons nog aan het verbazen waren over het zeer matige voorgerecht verscheen het hoofdgerecht. Een gooi en smijt tent die alleen vanwege het “verleden” klanten weet te trekken. Jammer van deze avond!!

Hostess was friendly, but the waiter was rude, he gave us such bad service. Drinks were Ok but the spicy Margarita was horrible.

This was our first time here. We love to get cocktails at a vibey place before proceeding on to dinner. There was a little confusion since there are so many different rooms and we did not want to dive, but the hosts were so accommodating. The vibe is fabulous- so many different rooms, nooks, crannies- so unique and original. The cocktails however were sub-par. We agreed to order an appetizer so we got chicken wings and they were barely edible.

We had a really nice time at the piano bar, the Christmas decor was beautiful and went so well with the existing decor, its like stepping back in time to another era. Kudos to whoever hung the garland on the outside columns, so symmetrical and well done, a grand holiday entrance providing a warm festive welcome! The second pianist we heard that evening was absolutely wonderful, he played beautifully and he sang with a light heart. He interacted with the crowd in a non intrusive way that enabled the diners not only to enjoy their food but to make casual musical requests and really enjoy the music as well. I could see that he was reading the room and playing more of the style he saw folks enjoying. I especially loved his riff that gently melded into a beautiful rendition of Let it snow, it made the cold December night sparkle with joy!

We were looking for a place to go with the family of 7 people that was fun, conveniently located, took reservations, was quiet enough to have conversations to be heard and didn't break the bank. Fraunce's Tavern fit the bill perfectly. The staff was attentive, our table was ready when we arrived, the food was fine, and the place was extremely interesting. Our family enjoyed our time there.

One of our favorites in NYC. Try the Scotch Egg, and Chicken Pot Pie!! The stout beer- Wolfhound Nitro Stout - is my husbands fave. Beautifully decorated at Christmas - a great place for Brunch.
