Frederick's is a family-run restaurant that is now fifty-five years old. Frederick's is a relaxed, contemporary restaurant and bar with private dining options. Serving a modern, crowd-pleasing menu, with familiar yet focused service and an enviable wine list Frederick's continues to be run by the Segal family. We are proud to be regarded as an Islington Institution, and continue to work hard to ensure that this is the case for years to come.

Frederick’s is open from Tuesday through to Saturday with full hire parties bookable on Sunday and Monday (fifty plus guests). Our familiar team is looking forward to seeing you; we can’t wait to shake you a martini or decant a fine wine for you to enjoy.

This is such a great place to be. The staff are attentive, they offer helpful advice if you need it. The food is made to order, not reheated, and it is perfectly cooked, absolutely delicious. The wine we chose was lovely. It was full but the tables are spaced so that the ambient noise is not a problem.

Wonderful meal with friends to celebrate a ‘milestone’ birthday. Food and service were excellent. The atmosphere is wonderful and a perfect place to celebrate special occasions.

It’s the second time we go to Frederick’s with a bunch of friends and both times were absolutely brilliant. The atmosphere is great, the service is impeccable and the food is absolutely delicious. To top it all up the sommelier recommended fantastic wine after discussing what we like and within the budget set. And it’s reasonably priced, in the context of London prices and considering the overall quality and experience. We love it and we’re definitely going back there for our next outing.

The service was poor. In that they were very quick to remove things ( unfinished beer in a glass ) but not so quick to respond when something was needed !! Like ordering wine etc .. our 15 minute (on ordering )chocolate fondant took well over 25 mins to appear .. we had to ask where it was …when on a tight schedule for a show this was annoying

We frequent Fredrick’s quite often and it usually lovely, but last night we found the whole experience very indifferent. We had to wait for our starters for an hour and then only after we asked where they were. Things that are usually done smoothly had to be asked for like where are the mint teas we ordered and chocolates. We will come back but not for quite a while.

I hadn’t been to F since my 30th 26 yrs ago. I was very happy to see that it is just as amazing as it was then. We couldn’t fault the experience in any way!
