The place is pretty and welcoming. The appetizers were all delicious. The main courses, some were very good (carbonara, jambalaya, Nonna's meatballs) and some were a complete miss (flatbread, gnocchi, chicken marsala). But i will go back, we had a great time overall.

Had another fantastic dinner, consisting of salmon and New York steak. Trevor did a fantastic job as our waiter as he always does. We keep coming back for more and more!

Garrett Cafe was a fun and just excellent lunch experience. Livermore is a wine tasting gem, and Garre and our midday lunch was just delicious. My wife had the Chicken Marsala and I had the Seafood Pasta. Both dishes were well seasoned, flavorful, and tasty. The espresso martini was a bit sweet, but they did not skimp on the alcohol. The red wines by the glass, all of them, are good. I highly recommend Garre. We also went to the tasting room, just down from Garrett, and the service from Kristin at the tasting room was excellent. Take the 2 to 3 hours and enjoy Garrett, well worth the time. We will be back.

Garre Cafe is a GREAT choice for lunch with a group, we have gone there a few times now and always enjoy it. The food is yummy and there are plenty of menu options. The service is also excellent and the staff is super helpful and friendly. HIGHLY recommend!

This restaurant is one of my "go to restaurants" even though I do not live in Livermore and it is about 1/2 hour commute. It is definitely worth it. They serve quality favorable food and excellent service. I would highly recommend.

The food here is always delicious! Start with the fried olives. I’ve had them in other restaurants, but they’re never as good as they are at Garre Café. everything is always fresh. I usually have pasta, which is always great. Yesterday I had a turkey club, which was really good. Always a great place to go when you’re in Livermore.

They need to learn how to cook Italian food. You do not put cheese in seafood pasta, they have no idea how to make a carbonara sauce. And the pasta was way over cooked as was all the fish. They intermingle flat bread and pizza terminology as one dish when a flat bread is different than pizza. I can go on. The sandwich my guest had looked good and she really enjoyed it and I did see other dishes come out to other tables that were not Italian looked good. The two appetizers we had were average to good. My guest wanted to go there but if I had my choice after reading the menu on line I would not go.
