   This was an epic disappointment. My expectations are generally lower for hotel restaurants, but this was just not good. Started with crab bisque, and after two bites my husband said he was afraid to eat any more b/c it tasted off. Then we ordered a NY strip, Oscar-style with mashed potatoes and the Brussels sprouts. The steak was not a good cut (which is fairly inexcusable for a restaurant in the heart of the Midwest), and while it was actually cooked medium-rare as ordered, it lacked any flavor, despite the gelatinous yellow "Hollandaise" sauce in which it was drowned. The crab looked like sauteed chicken (pro tip: the crab should not be brown and crispy!), so we just scraped that off and didn't even try it. The mashed potatoes were dry and had no salt, and the Brussels Sprouts were drowned in balsamic vinegar. We were the only people in the restaurant when we arrived, and we were seated next to the window looking out into the empty cafeteria where breakfast was served. A window covering to keep the focus on the room we were in rather than the fluorescent lights in the next room would not be a bad addition here. This felt like a restaurant that has been stuck in time from the 80's, with a kitchen staff just going through the motions without any pride in their cooking. We've had some lovely meals in Galena, but this wasn't one of them. Our server was nice and didn't hover too much, despite our being the only customers on a Sunday evening for most of the meal. Sadly we will not be back.

   We couldn’t have been happier about this restaurant! The service was amazing, the food came out quickly, and everything was delicious!! Highly recommend!

   As usual the food is excellent. Prices are a bit higher but quality is worth it. And excellent service and space. Our group if 7 were by themselves and stayed over the time limits without a nudge. We enjoyed ourselves immensely

   Great for couples and adults. Terrific menu! It was hard to decide what to order! Food was very good. Service was attentive and polite. Great atmosphere!

   One of my favorite places in Galena. Food and service are always phenomenal! We had a reservation for Valentine's dinner. Our table was beautifully set and ready when we arrived. Jody was very attentive and took very good care of us.

   Very nice restaurant with good(very traditional) food. Old school food in an upscale environment. I love the history of the building and all the great photos!
