The authentic Santa Fe cuisine on which Geronimo focuses is rooted in the traditional foods of the Apache and Navajo peoples, with some Spanish and Anglo-Saxon influences.

The bar, one of the largest and certainly the most unique in New Haven, offers over 500 types of tequila in addition to an extensive wine list and myriad top-shelf liquors. In winter, the expansive dining room, framed in slate and walnut complete with a leather wall, is warmed by an adobe fireplace (traditionally called a kiva). In the warmer months, the glass paneled wall, which offers a year-round view of Crown Street, opens up onto the largest patio bar and dining area in the region.

We are primarily reservation only, and we plan on 90 minutes per reservation. If you need more time, let us know when you book your table and we will be happy to accommodate!

We had a great dinner and will be back! Table side guacamole was amazing as usual. We ordered salad, tacos, a burrito and a quesadilla. Everything was delicious.

Way too loud and the drinks are very expensive. It’s impossible to hold a conversation with the noise level. It’s fine at lunch, but I’ll never return for dinner.

My girlfriend and I went out for dinner and it was our first time. Our server Morgan was great, the food was excellent and the atmosphere was lively. Definitely a great place to try if you find yourself downtown New Haven.

Disappointed with food quality and our server who informed us an hour and a half into our experience that they like to keep the tables “on fridays and Saturday’s to a 1.5 hour seating.” I have dined at this restaurant and never heard this before, AND if that was so it should have been told 1 at the time of making the reservation and 2 at the time we sat down at our table. Additionally it was a birthday celebration and we did not receive a birthday treat like we always have.

We have visited this restaurant several times. This is the first time we’ve been disappointed. The server was overwhelmed with too many people brought us the wrong drinks. When the correct drink arrived it was not as good as it was on past visits. We both order tacos. I usually get mine on a lettuce wrap. I was told it will cost me an additional three dollars For lettuce….. sorry but this is ridiculous.

We always enjoy eating at Geronimo's New Haven ... Totally enjoyed the half sized Nacho platter for an appetizer so as not to have too much food for two people when we get our entrées ... The Mahi Mahi Tacos were delicious !!

Dinner before a nearby concert on Valentines Day, couldn’t have gotten any more crowded or loud but our server Patrick took good care of us despite the crowd. We missed the grace period for our reservation by 15 minutes but they seated us quickly which was very, very much appreciated. It will be a night out to remember for sure. Yucca fries were real good, give them a try
