Just as 18th century taverns served as the epicenter of the communities they served, so too does the Green Dragon Tavern & Museum in Carlsbad offer a warm, family-owned gathering place today for San Diego friends and neighbors of all ages. The welcoming atmosphere is surpassed only by the highly acclaimed and award winning menu. Each dish is curated by with a focus on seasonal, locally sourced and sustainable ingredients. The food was great, and the service was impeccable. It would've been a more pleasant dining experience if the bar and the football game (TV) would've been in a different room.

A must try! Fabulous food and portions. Adults and kids all enjoyed their meals. Kids loved their ice cream cookie sandwich for dessert. Super neat that it has a small museum in honor of our forefathers. Service was outstanding as well. Only a 7 minute drive from Legoland. We will be back!

This place is a go-to for Carlsbad get togethers when I need a place that is great for conversation. I love the big tables, the service is always really nice and the food is consistently delicious and plentiful.

We ate outside on the patio and had it to ourselves. Waitress was very informative and a delight. The vegetarian pizza was extremely wonderful with so many toppings. It said black olives, but was so pleasantly surprised that it had Kalamata olives which is so much more flavorful. The museum was very informative and well done. I definitely would recommend to anyone.

The service was very good and the food portions were more than expected. We enjoyed the museum and historic concept of the Green Dragon Tavern.
