Hubbard Bar & Grille is a new American restaurant and event space in the heart of the Short North since 2010. Featuring fresh, local and organic meals & creative cocktails in a modern, sophisticated atmosphere. We are open for dinner 6 nights a week; closed on Mondays.

The server never came back to check on us once we received our meals, never refilled our ice tea & we had to ask for the check. Was not busy on a Sunday at 4pm.

                                                                                        I made a mistake and made a reservation for only 3 people and meant to make it for 5. They were very busy (Friday night) and had a table for 3 but not for 5. The manager stepped right in and we waited not very long at all and were seated. The restaurant was very accommodating despite my mistake. The food was EXCELLENT!! We have been to Hubbard several times and will continue to:)

                                                                                        Hubbard grilled was decent. I think the food could use a little more flavor. Specifically the halibut. I felt the seasoning on the fish was good but it was not evenly seasoned. There were parts of the filet that had less flavor. The rice didn’t have much flavor but went well with the red pepper sauce just wish they would have included more sauce. The service was not bad but nothing special. The drinks were good but they should be for what they’re charging. Overall I think I would give it a 6/10.

                                                                                        It was a great Valentine’s dinner Our waitress was awesome. She was sweet and very attentive. The food was delicious. Never disappointed. I got the sirloin which was cooked to perfection. My wife got the chicken which came out so tender and juicy. Then we both had the brussel sprouts…delicious! Not sure what they do but they can’t be beat. Love this place. Give the Grille a try, you will not be disappointed.

                                                                                        Our server was Bailey, who was a delight and training a new server while waiting on many tables. It almost seemed like ladies night, as only 2 tables had men. We asked the table next to us- they said they come down from OSU. Food was delicious- I had the city pasta w/ chicken added and my husband had a flatbread- mushroom, spinach and carmelized onions. We enjoy coming to this spot and will be back.

                                                                                        Semi-limited menu for price outside of happy hour. Overall amazing vibe and great drinks as well as service. Hubbard happy hour is hands-down the best in the Short North.
