Insignia Steak & Sushi is the creation of Anthony Scotto - Owner of Blackstone Steakhouse , Rare650 Prime Steak & Sushi, One10 Modern Italian Steakhouse, Opus Steakhouse & Bijou Modern American Asian.

Like its predecessors, Insignia's inspired menu features the finest prime dry-aged steaks and the freshest Sushi & Seafood, including fresh whole fish, served up in a chic, elegant atmosphere that is also a feast for the eyes.     We arrived on time for our reservation and we're promptly seated in the outdoor extension of the restaurant. There were heaters in the area, but the overall vibe was very casual with diners sporting jeans and everyday clothes. Very noisy in this portion of the restaurant with the seating being close and the chairs uncomfortable. We also had a large table for two people and had a hard time conversing with each other. Our bread basket arrived instantaneously, our menus not so quick. In about 10 minutes the server arrived with the menus. It honestly felt like we were in Applebee's. The noise, the seating, the patrons. Oh well, now the food. 10 more minutes and our drink order was entered, as well as our food order. The $69 three course meal. ( Maybe that was why we were seated in this section.) I had the raw clams- 5 not the 6 that comes on the regular menu. They were little necks, or perhaps an even smaller version. My partner had the shrimp skillet, she said that was good- 8 shrimp, very nice. We continued with the NY strip and a skirt steak with sides of mashed potatoes and mushrooms. The steaks were replicas of the Texas Longhorn restaurant types. Small portion, no char, no sizzle, a bit overdone and no real seasoning ( a little salt please.) The sides were also small, not steakhouse portions. Our meals came with dessert. Cheesecake for me and mousse for the lady. Both tasty albeit small portions. Of course we had coffee, one cup, no offered refills. At the end of the meal we could honestly say.... we had dinner. With drinks (1 each) and tip $230. Same meal at Longhorn or Roadhouse maybe $100. I'll stick with Ruth's Chris.

    We had a great first experience at Insignia. Our waiter and all of the staff as well the dining experience were phenomenal. Food was delicious!

    Delicious steaks and sides , always a hit. Nice crowd on a Saturday night too. Will continue to go here, only complaint is server left before we finished so getting the bill was a hassle & took longer than necessary

    Only the second time I’ve dined here and the first time was a lot better. I’ll give it another shot sometime in the future to see if this time was just an off night

    The fish was not fresh and the steak was not cooked properly was tough. For 400 I could find a better place.
