Jimmy V’s Osteria & Bar is a unique and modern restaurant was created with Jimmy Valvano’s passion and commitment to excellence, and a percentage of the restaurant’s revenue is donated to the V Foundation. Jimmy Valvano’s love for food is the influence behind our menu creation featuring local and seasonal dishes with an emphasis on delicious Italian/American down to earth and traditional comfort foods using local farm grown ingredients and straightforward preparations. Also, our culinary team focuses on shareable small-plates, to encourage groups to socialize in a convivial atmosphere, which is warm and inviting for family gatherings, a night on the town or toasting drinks with friends.

Servers didn’t seem very happy. We waited a long time for our food and for our bill. Our app and meal came at the same time. The Meatball Smash was a hard sausage burger with tomato sauce, didn’t really taste like a meatball. The chicken parm was good. Also note the server was very apologetic and took the meal off our bill because we didn’t enjoy it.

Not bad for in the hotel. Service was good. Pizza was good. Meatballs and Burrata appetizers were good.

Pizza was excellent, got caught in the pre-concert rush and waited an hour for our food. Good prices and a good meal.

It felt like a nice neighborhood bar dining experience. The service was excellent. The food was good, tasty, and arrived soon after ordering. The menu selections were varied. Overall it felt like a sports bar environment.

This place sucks! How Jimmy V's family would associate his name with this place is beyond me. I thought it would be of the same quality of the original restaurant in Cary, oh hell no! NY Strip was under cooked and still tough as an old bowling shoe. $21 for a glass of Malbec that costs $10 a bottle at the store? Don't waste your time or money .....

I have a feeling that the team was understaffed tonight but I wanted to give a shout out to those who were working. Y’all were hustling and doing your best on what was probably a busier than normal Monday night.

Worst experience ever at this restaurant. I ordered the salmon and it was bad. I was unable to eat it due to the bad taste. My husband also had salmon and his was ok. Overall very low quality food at this visit. If there is a next time I will stick with the pizza.

Our food was late, and one person did not get his meal until some time after the rest of us were finally served. The music/ noise level was excruciating and painful. We asked to be moved to a quieter place, but there were none available. I would have like to have known that a very loud showcase band was going to be playing in the venue all night before I made reservations. I was hoping to catch up with some old friends, but conversation was impossible with the extremely high level of volume from the band. I have enjoyed eating at Jimmy V's several times over the past 12 years during World of Bluegrass week, but I won't be back. Very disappointing.
