A fresh take on American cuisine using the finest ingredients, served in a classy yet casual setting with a family-friendly atmosphere. We prepare delectable seafood, numerous gluten-free options, and natural meats raised without hormones or antibiotics wherever possible.

All reservations will only be held for 15 minutes. Please call if a later arrival is needed and we will tell you our next available reservation.

We are unable to honor more guests than made on the original reservation due to limited seating. Please call the restaurant directly to see if changes to your guest number can be accommodated. We apologize, but guest number increases will not be able to be accommodated upon arrival to the restaurant. We also are not able to honor additional numbers left in the notes.

Carriages cannot be taken into our dining room. We will place them at the host area while you dine.

The service was excellent and the food was great. We sat at the bar while we waited for our table and the bartender was veery friendly and entertaining. Our waitress was excellent. We would highly recommend Jo’s for a casual and enjoyable evening.

Made a reservation over a month ago. We were put on a porch with a potable heater . The heater was so loud when it was on. . When it was off it was cold . This was for Valentine’s Day . The food was good . Had to keep my coat on throughout the meal . disappointing.

Jo's is our favorite restaurant on the island and once again, did not disappoint. Their special Valentine's day menu was wonderful. The food was fabulous and service excellent. It was such a nice atmosphere - even sitting next to the bar was quiet as the TV had no volume. We really like their regular prix fix menu on weekdays and are happy this is close to home and easy to get to! I highly recommend Jo's for both excellent food and ambience.

WOW. What a wonderful meal we had at Jo's. The apps were delicious. The carpaccio was very delicate, not too much cheese so the steak was able to shine. The lobster bisque was so yummy. But the star of the night was the lobster carbonara. OMG. I have been dreaming about this dish. Truly one of the best meals I have ever eaten. We live 2.5 hours from Newport, but I will make the drive just for this dish. The drinks were also amazing. Unique cocktails for sure. Service was also a 5/5. I highly recommend Jo's American Bistro and cannot wait to be back. Also we came with a baby and the environment was great for him too!

Overall nice restaurant, good evening. We were upstairs & Mellow cosy ambiance very nice with attentive service Food not bad but not great I had clam chowder as starter & WAS really good but my main was fish & chips which was not great Fish was breaded but soggy & chips were very over done
