Food and drinks were delicious. Drinks are expensive ($18) but what do you expect? The food comes out quickly which is important when you're trying to make the show at the Pantages. Appreciate that they have vegan options. The popcorn shrimp and the brussel sprouts were the stand out dishes for my group. It's a high energy restaurant which is great but it's also loud. All and all a great dining choice.

Great cocktails and miso cod. Tuna sushi was amazing, rest of sushi was good not great. Service was verrrrrry slow and understaffed.

It was a really good experience because the food was excellent as well as the service. The staff is warm and welcoming and our meal was served promptly so it gave us time to relax and enjoy our meal before heading over to the theater with plenty of time. The prices are high and the menu isn’t as extensive as other Katsuya restaurants but it was fine for a special occasion.

It’s hard to find a Japanese “comfort food” restaurant in a trendy environment like Katsuya. There are many sushi restaurants but Katsuya offers sushi and a lot more. Hollywood needs this type of restaurant. I live across the street but even if I didn’t, I would still make the effort to travel to Hollywood.

Nice server, but excruciating slow service. We were the first table sat, but we were not greeted first, we were greeted 3rd-4th. First round of drinks took 15+ minutes to come out while other tables had theirs out almost immediately. Desserts + 1 drink at the end took 25 minutes to come out. Server only checked on us after we finished our food and to take dessert order. Nearly canceled the last ordered items because of how long it took. Management presence was nonexistent.
