Kitchen Istanbul is an elevated neighborhood restaurant showcasing the flavors of Turkey and featuring an extensive list of wines from around the globe. Led by owner Emrah Kilicoglu, we are a small, tight-knit team dedicated to genuine hospitality. The menu, created by Chef Alican Boynak, comprises dishes from all over Turkey, with a focus on mezes, charcoal-grilled kebaps, and local produce. The wine program, overseen by Joseph DiGrigoli, has been honored by Star Wine List and Wine Spectator and spotlighted in publications like the San Francisco Chronicle and the Wall Street Journal.

We are a family-friendly restaurant suited for everything from a casual glass of wine to celebrations for large groups. Our diverse menu is able to accommodate most dietary restrictions, including options for gluten-free, vegetarian, and vegan diners.

Every Wednesday, Kitchen Istanbul becomes KIFC, serving a set menu featuring Chef Busra's fried chicken. Menus come with an appetizer of pistachio salad and a spread, followed by a main course and sides, and concluding with dessert. Menu price is $150 for starters, four pieces of chicken, two sides, and dessert (serves 2-3 guests). Menu price is $200 for starters, six pieces of chicken, all sides, and dessert (serves 3-5 guests). Sides and extra chicken, as well as special supplements, can be added at guest's request. Please note that we do not offer our full menu on Wednesdays. However, we do have alternative main course options for our vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free friends.

Kitchen Istanbul has become our FAVORITE restaurant. Every detail is perfect. The cuisine is so delicious, the wine (and Joseph) are beyond exceptional and the service is top notch. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

Exceptional services, great wine recommendations by the sommelier. Food was just right and outstanding! Everything on the menu sounded incredible, so we decided to order several dishes to share. The Adana was a standout—perfectly seasoned with a satisfying chile kick. We loved it so much, we ordered another! For dessert, the Kunefe was a classic and an absolute must-try.

We started with beer, muhammara and pacanga borek. Our main plates were adana kebabs, orzotto, and moussaka. We finished with kunefe and profiteroles. Service was very good. By the end of the meal, noise was overwhelming. We've been coming to this restaurant since 2013. Over time, it's changed from a place of an adventurous food menu with limited wine and beer options to a place of an extensive wine collection with limited food and beer choices. It's always a good experience here.

This is our fourth visit to Kitchen Istanbul and every time we dine there, we enjoy it more and more. The service is great. The food is delicious and just the right amount. Don’t pass on dessert either. What a treat to have this special place in our neighborhood.

Really great experience and such wonderful atmosphere! We had the most wonderful birthday celebration dinner. We loved the cadence in which the wait staff and the wine director checked in with us. I also loved how well the staff communicated with each other so that there wasn’t a lot of the same questions to us from different staff members. It was a great flow that didn’t interrupt our conversation but also made us feel cared after. The food was delicious! Perfectly cooked and seasoned. We were allowed to stay until the restaurant closed and we weren’t even asked to leave. The value was great too! Total was much less than i would expect for that level of service and quality food. Really appreciate the great experience!

Last night we had a charming dining experience in a new and chic Turkish restaurant. The food was good and the service and hospitality excellent. I enjoyed a variety of appetizers whose names I fail to remember but whom I would recognize immediately if I saw them again. And I will see them again. Because the minute we left my dining partner and I said to each other. “That was great— we are coming back for more.”
