For many years, the Kula Lodge has been a favorite for both visitors and Kama'aina alike for delicious cuisine and breathtaking views of Maui. Perched high on the slopes of Haleakala with a 180 degree view of Maui, the Kula Lodge and Restaurant is a comfortable and homey place to relax, especially on your way down from the sunrise or sunset at the crater. It is situated on 4 lovely acres and not only has a stunning botanical garden, it has the only full-service bar and live music in Kula. It's also the only place upcountry with dancing (on Friday and Saturday nights)!

The restaurant seats up to 160 guests, making it ideal for weddings and special events. The Kula Lodge outdoor Garden Terrace features a brick wood-burning pizza oven and an open view of south, central and the Maui mountains. The sunset views are absolutely phenomenal!

Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 5-7 have live entertainment; Friday & Saturday evenings from 5-8pm have live entertainment AND dancing!

The Kula Lodge is an excellent restaurant. The food is very good, service is excellent, grounds and landscaping are wonderful, and views are incredible. Highly recommended for a wonderful relaxing dining experience.

Lovely setting, very accommodating staff and nice food. The restaurant could use a deep cleaning and some polish. And, the prices were quite high even for Hawaii.

We went for a late lunch. Service was great. We asked for a view in the corner and were told, of course. It was the table we sat at the last time we were there. I had the shrimp lunch and my husband had the chicken and waffles.

Food was all great. Can’t beat the outdoor dining experience and views!! Service was subpar at best. Ordered soup a salad and an entree to share. Extremely disappointed and surprised when they brought all the food out at once. Asked our server several times for items like a coffee warm-up, pepper and iced tea and were practically done with our meal before she came back. Then we had to ask again. A few little improvements needed to improve the whole experience.

Excellent location, views and service. We had the chicken/ waffles and eggs Benedict. Both excellent. Seems pricy but it’s Maui

I don’t understand the logic in not allowing people to sit in the tables by the windows during the afternoon hours. The main dining room was basically empty but our choice of tables was limited to a handful of tables tucked away by the bar with no view whatsoever.

Was so happy I found this hidden gem! The food was phenomenal. Probably the best meal I had while visiting. I highly recommend the Coq Au Vin .

Views and location and overall setting were incredible. Food was just alright.. still worth a lunch just for the location and setting.
