   A perfect dinner from start to finish. We had the duck and branzino. Flawless preparation and presentation. Lava cake and coffee to top it off. Friendly professional service as well.

   Went for Valentine’s Day event. The beef Wellington was excellent, the staff were extremely friendly and really added some flare to the holiday with complimentary champagne, a balloon release and allowing people to take home the rose at the table. LGBT friendly. The octopus tasted a little off and felt like it was either frozen previously or not fresh. Portion sizes felt a bit small. Overall very good and recommend for special occasion or wanting to impress while having a sense like you are like part of their family.

   These guys at La Fontaine are great. They always deliver on service and quality, especially service. If I ever eat at other “fancy type” places, a thought always crosses my mind that I could be getting more and better flavor for less money and treated better at La Fontaine. Cocktails are great too.

   All three of us enjoyed our before-the-theater dinners. An outstanding waiter sealed the deal!

   RE: lunch. Portions were generous. Service staff was polite and attentive. Food was nicely seasoned but not "over-dressed" or dull (which can be the case, for example, in salads that are included.) Fries were to die for! very thinly cut, so the crispiness, not mushy inside, prevailed. And they were obviously fresh from the pan. I will definitely be introducing friends to this restaurant and hope they have success on Castro Street, where many establishments don't seem to be making it.

   We enjoy the good food and spot on cocktails. Our wait person went above and beyond to see if we can change the sauce on an entree. La Fontaine is consistent. We will continue to revisit.

    We visited the restaurant on New Year's Eve. Very nice, cozy, home style environment.The food is very good with excellent portions and freshness! The seating could be a little bit better. It's really hard to hear someone sitting across from you as the tables are within arms length. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant if you are in the area looking for a very authentic dinner option.
