We booked for 7:30 pm and got confirmation. When we arrived they told us that since it’s thanksgiving night they plan to close in few min.. we didn’t get any communication in advance.. they let us come in and served us nice, but it was clear they want to finish fast, they even didn’t asked us about desserts.. And.. they charged us 20% for service within the fees.. didn’t let us decide about how we see the service… this is not something I expect from place like Mela. The food was good, but the overall experince wasn’t so nice. And I totally respect people who want to celebrate thanksgiving with their families.

Tremendous as always. From the Gentleman who greets you at the door to the service and and the amazing delicious and piping hot pre fixe. Grilled Mozzarella is the best. Capped the night with a shot if "Sophia's Lemoncella" PREFECT!!

We simply love this place. Have been a customer since 1991 and this our place for Italian food! Excellent service, wonderful atmosphere, amazing food. In the heart of Little Italy, this iconic restaurant needs to be at the top of your list!

we always make a stop to la mela when in town. the staff is always energetic, fun and happy! food is delicious and it’s always a nice time.

The food was mediocre at best. Very disappointing experience in Little Italy. We chose this restaurant because a friend had eaten here years ago….. and unfortunately its greatness is stuck in the past.

Warm October evening allowed us to dine al fresco, which meant taking in all the energy of Mulberry Street while enjoying outstanding Italian fare. The Zucchini fries were excellent and raised even higher with what could be only described as perfect marinara on the side. The pasta entrees were cooked to perfection and served piping hot. Outstanding from start to finish! Truly a memorable dinner - thank you, La Mela!
