Situated in the Yorkshire Dales National Park, The Wensleydale Heifer may be within easy reach of the A1 and M6 but it still feels totally rural. A traditional white-washed inn complete with leaded lights and swinging sign, The Wensleydale Heifer gives the visitor a real flavour of Britain meaning it’s popular not only with locals but with tourists searching for the real Yorkshire. Came November 15th. Booked again Dec 7th, but due to storm Darragh had to postpone to Sun 22nd Dec and cancelled trains. I’m Gluten Free, fabulous choice, was so looking forward to returning due to large choices on GF menu. Great ambiance, staff exceptional service, fabulous location in York to all shops. Would highly recommend to anyone See you again soon/ in the New Year u hope

First visit to Runa Farm. We will most certainly be back. Lots of atmosphere we were looked after extremely well with very polite and attentive staff. Presentation and food quality excellent.
