A contemporary take on the classic oyster bar, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, near BAM, Barclay's, the Paramount, and Atlantic Terminal. Strange Delight finds its influence in New Orleans and is also inspired by the rich history of oysters in New York. Our menu consists of regional seafood prepared in a variety of styles: Charbroiled Oysters and Shrimp Remoulade share the stage with classic seafood towers and Oysters Rockefeller. A rotating selection of larger plates features items such as Black Cod Almondine and Blackened Swordfish Belly.To drink, Strange Delight updates old classics, serving both a Hurricane and Ramos Gin Fizz service for 2, alongside Martinis and Sazeracs. Our wine and beer lists feature our favorite American producers.     Wonderful food, wonderful service & people. The oysters Rockefeller are tender & gorgeous, and the broccolini salad delivered so much more flavor than the menu described . So good. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly and accommodating. When we were trying to figure out a wine, he asked a lot of questions about what wines we liked and said, I’ll make it work for you. And he did.

    This place is awesome in an awesome location. Everything is fresh and authentic. The service is out of this world! The waitress would come over and pour or bottle of wine they even answered any questions we had. The owner came up to our table and greeted us! This place felt homey in an area that has changed so much over the years. I would definitely recommend this for any date night, out with friends or a family outing.
