Here for the week and the prime rib and French onion soup and then international menu was the prize . Disappointed with the ny strip .. should’ve stick with the prime rib .. Brussels sprouts very salty and soup seafood just ok . Great service and mgmt … want to try the cod and get French option and prime rib again .. maybe try the steak house not sure of the cut I should choose

Exceptional food and fabulous atmosphere for Valentine’s weekend!

We really enjoyed our meals at Canal Side Inn. The food was excellent! Could not have been better. From interesting and fresh soup and salad choices, to well prepared and presented main courses and desserts, everything was great. The atmosphere is like taking a step back in time, with wood paneling and even a full phone booth outside the bar area. The music, tunes I remembered hearing at my grandparent's house, complemented the environment nicely. Tables were beautifully set and the service pleasant and attentive. The only thing that was a slight negative, and due to the age and location of the space, was a musty smell initially upon entering. A little bit like a grandparent's house, too! :) In no way did that impact the overall experience for us, and we will definitely be back.
