The Palazzo Della Gherardesca was unusual for its time in that its main interior space, the atrium, was originally designed as a secondary courtyard. Now covered with a glass roof, like the courtyard Lobby, the Hotel’s Atrium Bar occupies a vast sun-lit and decorative space, serving lunch, dinner, and the typical Italian aperitif, afternoon tea, desserts, coffee and cocktails. It offers a selection of delicious and out-of-the ordinary drinks, from the Valentino, our take on the classic Negroni, to the latest cocktails and preparations on the list. A wonderful experience and a lovely complement to our stay in Tuscany. This style of dining brings “the best of both” - the casual, communal, and social dimension of having friends over for dinner, but with the elevated authenticity of a Tuscan food culture. The team here are friendly, warm, and the food was exquisite. We opted for the bistecca upgrade and it was superb! Don’t miss an opportunity to nab a table here.

Wonderful dinner. Restaurant is tasting menu only but wonderful choices. Our group had the 10 course with a very generous wine pairing. Dinner was exquisite and a beautiful view.
