Service was attentive, but not particularly warm. Others at the bar and front of the restaurant had better service. Bartender clearly loves his job, so would recommend sitting there if you don’t want privacy. Regular tables are packed very tightly together. Food was fantastic - we had the scallops, lamb and potatoes. All were well presented and packed with flavour. We only needed a light meal as we’d been eating our way around the city, but if here for a full meal, I’d recommend 3 mains and a couple of sides for 2 people. Wine and cocktails are all reasonably priced.

Lovely place with lovely food. Great little event space as well where we enjoyed the Rooted Revelry winter solstice show. Will definitely be back

Wonderful evening. Beautiful space, tastefully done. The food and wine were fantastic but it’s the warm and friendly atmosphere the staff create which makes it stands out. It’s a smart restaurant, but with a heart! Thank you!

We booked for 9 of us for a celebration of a successful business event. They were lovely letting us change our reservation time without much notice. The staff were amazing and brought a special tiramisu with a candle for my daughter. The pizza was outstanding, some of the best we have ever had. Lots of choice with Christmas specials too. It was fabulous value for money too for a large family celebration. I am just sad they don’t have one where I live in York! Fancy a move north guys?!?!
