Market Place was opened in November 2011 in Mitchelstown, Co. Cork. John O Connor who has worked in the catering industry all his life opened Market Place. John is from Mitchelstown originally and studied Hotel & Catering Management in third level. Having worked in Hotels, Bars and Restaurants throughout Cork and Limerick for many years john decided to take the plunge and open his own Restaurant in his home town.The Restaurant has gone from strength to strength since opening always offering something new and fresh to the locality. Lovely early evening meal with friends. Evelyn our host was most welcoming and informative about the menu. Our vegetarians and Coeliac were well looked after and all the food was top notch. Good service

Great atmosphere and service was brilliant, the waiters and waitresses were very attentive and professional. Starters were great, the mains were ok, desert seemed to be a store bought meringue with a few raspberries.
