Leonard Wilfred Davies, born 19 December 1906, started a butcher's dynasty now four generations old. Overlooking the historic Ludford bridge, just a few minutes walk from the town centre of Ludlow, the Charlton Arms is the epitome of a charming Pub. The kitchen, headed up by Krizstian Balogh, focusses on great British food and features a wealth of local produce. Fantastic pub classics feature strongly alongside accomplished dishes. The breakfast menu, from Clun Valley Eggs, locally cured bacon and Ludlows' famed sausages to the finest smoked salmon has something for everyone. Independently run by Cedric and Amy Bosi, a warm welcome is guaranteed. Children are welcome and are provided with a children's menu. For the dog lovers amongst you, well behaved dogs are allowed in, and with the beautiful walks around Ludlow and its Whitcliffe Common, muddy boots are always a feature of the pub!

Delicious food and generous helpings were served by polite and helpful staff in a pleasant traditional pub atmosphere. In all this was a very enjoyable lunch.

Lovely welcome from staff and nice ambience. We requested a private room, due to some special needs and they did provide one which made the day special for our family reunion. Food delicious as one would expect from the Ludlow Food Centre. We will certainly be back.
