We opened our first restaurant in Castlefield, Manchester in 2004 with a clear aim: To deliver quality food to local customers at a reasonable price in a sharp, modern space with friendly, unpretentious service. Blacklock is a modern take of the Great British chophouse nestled in the corner of a Grade II listed textiles warehouse. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails from the trolley and wine on tap in our subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Roast almost as good as Mum's. We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times. Lovely cosy pub with open fires and beautifully set out for the festive season. Welcomed and shown to our table where the staff were helpful and friendly. Food was delicious, we had starters and mains. The beer and wine were excellent We will definitely be eating there again, wish it was our local!

Fabulous Sunday lunch . A warm welcome as wewalked in the door and attentive friendly service throughout. The food was faultless and every mouthful a delight. This is our go to place for great food, cosiness, atmosphere and friendliness .
